Many e-bikes weigh well over 25 kg, which is fine until you have to carry one up a flight of stairs, lift it onto a train or hang it on a wall. The bikes below weigh under 20 kg (44 lb) by their makers' own figures, from 14.1 kg; in the US they cost from $1,099 to $5,099.99. Each group is ordered from lightest to heaviest.
What the weight figures mean
Brands do not all weigh their bikes the same way. Some include the battery and some do not; Tenways, for example, states 15 kg for the CGO600 without accessories and 16 kg with them, and Cowboy states 19.3 kg including the battery. A light bike also carries a smaller battery: the bikes here whose makers state a battery size carry 252 to 520 Wh.
