Where the Apollo Dash may be ridden

Most European countries cap electric scooters at 20 to 25 km/h on public roads; the Apollo Dash's top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h) is above that, so it may be ridden at full speed only on private land there. In the United Kingdom privately owned e-scooters may not yet be ridden on public roads, and Germany requires a type-approved model with an insurance plate.

The brand states that the Apollo Dash is certified to EN 17128, UL 2271 and UL 2272.

EN 17128 is the European standard for personal light electric vehicles such as electric scooters.

UL 2271 is the US safety standard for the battery pack of a light electric vehicle.

UL 2272 is the US safety standard for the electrical system of personal e-mobility devices such as electric scooters.

New York City allows only e-scooters certified to UL 2272 to be sold or rented there.
